Our story

From a childhood dream
to a ranch of my own.

Our app was born out of everyday life on the ranch — out of our own need to gather all the data in one place and finally have the ranch under control.

A childhood dream

How it all began

Some dreams we don't choose — they're simply in us from childhood. One of them led me to horses. Even before I could speak properly, they pulled at my heart with all its might: the moment I spotted one — in a photo, on television or right in front of me — all I wanted was to be near it. And it was never about just one horse. I dreamed of many, of a whole farm where I could live among them and care for them. Back then I had no idea where this dream would one day take me.

Today I stand at the head of my own ranch and riding club, JK Palomino. It's home not only to my beloved horses, but also to piglets, goats and loyal dogs — every animal here has a name and a firm place in the family. And when I look back, more and more I feel that none of it happened by chance. It was the encounters, the people, the horses, the decisions and countless little “coincidences” that gradually led me exactly to where I am today.

A new way of seeing horses

More than just a ranch

And the last few years have taken me even further. Thanks to the people and trainers I've met along the way, I began to see horses in a completely different light. I started to listen more, to observe, to think about what horses are really telling us and how I want to work with them. Because between a horse and a human there is an exceptional bond that can't be put into words — it can only be felt with the heart. And along with it, my whole view of the world slowly began to change.

Everything the horses have taught me over the years, I now try to pass on. Under my wing a handful of young protégés are growing up, coming to me regularly to learn to ride. With love and patience I show them not just how to sit in the saddle, but how to understand a horse, earn its trust and become its true partner.

It was then that I realised I no longer wanted to run just a classic ranch, a riding school or a place to stable horses. I want to create. I want to build a place for like-minded people, to create value and help each other grow. Little by little, my head filled with ideas, thoughts and visions of everything that could still be brought to life.

App development

iPalomino

And it was right around this time that I met Tomáš. An experienced developer who was bringing his children to me for riding lessons. After one of the sessions the conversation naturally turned to technology — one word led to another, and it turned out we made the perfect team. By combining my hands-on know-how with Tomáš's programming skills, the iPalomino app slowly began to take shape.

We didn't want to build just another app. We wanted to create something with real value — something that would make life easier for the people around animals and free them from endless admin and paperwork, whether it's registering horses, changing owners or keeping health records. Something that would keep everything important clearer and simpler. And this is only the beginning.

Why we built iPalomino

With so many animals, clients, tasks, feed and vet appointments, caring for the ranch and the animals could no longer be handled with scraps of paper or ordinary online calendars — and so the iPalomino app was born: one system that keeps the whole ranch in our pocket.

Features

Fourteen modules,
one app.

From the animal profile through health records, calendar, tasks, breeding and reproduction, feeding and feed inventory, contacts and forms all the way to invoicing — each module handles a specific piece, so everything fits together perfectly.

01

Animal lists & profiles

Build a list of all your animals with photos, names, what they eat, when and how much, which medicines they take and what care they need. The other modules sync beautifully with this one.

02

Smart calendar

Create appointments for when the farrier or vet should visit — they show up in the calendar or as a list. The app reminds not only you, but the professional as well.

03

Tasks for the whole team

You can assign tasks not only to yourself, but to your staff too. Give a job to a stablehand, they tick it off, and you see it's done. The app flags unfinished tasks, so nothing slips past anyone on the team.

04

QR codes on stalls

For each horse you can generate a QR code in the app, print it and stick it on the stall door. Once scanned, the vet or helper doesn't need to ask a thing — they see the feed ration, medicines and alerts.

05

Health record

Every animal has a complete health history in its profile that grows over the years: vaccinations, deworming, injuries and weight. The app has an alert mode that warns you, for example, about weight loss over the past month.

06

Breeding & reproduction

The app guides you from covering to foal. Enter the covering date and it works out the ultrasound and foaling dates, counts down the days, and after birth creates the foal with its pedigree.

07

Feeding & feed inventory

Enter what each animal eats, how much and at what price. From this the app works out your stock, tallies the costs and optimises the whole store — interactive charts show where you can save, and it warns you about running low or overstocking on feed.

08

Contacts

In the app you keep a complete address book of every professional around your ranch and farm — vet, farrier, trainer, suppliers. The professionals are automatically linked to your calendar and to your farm or ranch.

09

Forms & horse passport

All official documents live in the app: horse transfers, registrations, the EU passport and the microchip number. The app knows the animal's data, so it pre-fills part of the fields for you. You just complete the document, send it and track the request status — iPalomino handles the communication with the authority.

10

Notifications

With notifications you won't forget a single task or the vet's arrival. And best of all, your staff and the vet won't forget their duties either, because the app reminds them too.

11

Roles & access

As the owner of the farm and ranch, you create the lists of animals and staff, the tasks, the appointments and the feed inventory. Your staff and the professionals see only what's theirs.

12

Offline mode

iPalomino works even where there's no signal — right in the barn. Without internet you can comfortably use every module, and when the signal returns the app syncs everything with the server on its own.

13

History export (PDF)

iPalomino generates a PDF for each animal — a tidy PDF with all of the animal's records. The PDF can be shared, forwarded to anyone and printed.

14

Settings & animal types

In iPalomino you can set up several farms and ranches, and assign each animal, professional and feed store to any of them — with no limits.
